My predessor set up one of our companies with incorrect accounting periods (it's a long story but lets say next month has about 400 days in it). It appears from what I have read that this can't be changed.
If this can't be changed, can I set up a new company and copy the chart of accounts, vendors and g/l info (doubtful) to a new company with the correct accounting periods?

If you're not moving any tranasctions, transferring lists between companies is simple. You can transfer the chart as part of the process of setting up the new company. The customers and vendors are easy to move using the Select Import/Export choice on the File menu. The online help file has instructions on rebuilding a Peachtree company.

Your a pro. Thank you
I would recommend changing the name of the original company before setting up the new one. It will help eliminate confusion later when you are looking at a list of companies.

You can import & export transactions also, but, I think That Mr Ringstrom is implying that it is not as easy as just lists. You should contact Shannon if you need professional help with this.
