I'm in the midst of a migration from DOS (v.11) to PAW 2002 (v9). I'm trying to change the accounting period and it keeps telling me I need "single user access."

The problem: All files on the server are set to read / write. There are no .lck or .pst files in existence with all users shut down. When I start my version of PAW, of course it creates a couple of .lck files. These appear to be correctly deleted whenever I exit PAW.

Any suggestions?

On the server, have you check if there're mis-reported locks? For example if you're using NT server, go to server manager and check for anyone still lock the Peachtree files.

Hope it helps.

This problem sometimes happen to our clients even when they're using the value pack version. Especially when the network is not reliable and one of the stations hang and so lock the files. However, in your case is a little bit different.
