Long time PT user but just found this forum. Still, I have a basic question: Should I open a additonal checking account for paying invoices? Just to keep checks in sequence. Or is there a better way? I havn't been using the system to print the checks and would like to start.

You do not need a different checking account. You can still use "hand" checks on the same account and record them in Peachtree. These "hand" checks being out of sequence allows you to identify them on the bank rec if one of them is unrecorded.
