I have a client who converted to PT Windows several years ago, but for historical purposes still has the DOS program on her PC. All was working fine until she bought a new monitor a month ago. Now when she starts PT DOS she gets "Cannot do this video mode" error message. I had her try the different compatibility settings but nothing worked.

Never seen this one before....anyone else?

I have never seen that error before. But since no one else seems to have an answer either I'll take a stab at it.

Have you tried changing her resolution?

Can she run other DOS applications?
Does it make any difference if PCA is set to run full screen or in a Window?

New cheap monitors (specially LCDs) can't handle the DOS refresh rates and/or resolutions. This has happened a lot to me with Dell LCDs. The only solution is to run them in windowed mode (which is painfully slow in XP/2k) or to get a new monitor.

If we are talking about an LCD then try something... check if the LCD/computer has dual inputs/outputs and change it from DVI to RGB or vice-versa.
