I'm new to the forum so if I am asking the obvious please bear with me. My company just setup Complete 2002 and we are switching off of ADP Payroll for the first time. I have written a lot of the payroll tax formulas without too much trouble but I am stumped on one.
The formula is based on an employee's standard pay amount. This would be pretax and can not include their OT. We have "Regular" and "OT" as the pay rates. The formula would look like this:
Answer = Regular Pay *5%. My problem is I can't figure it out. I can't use gross because that include OT as well as everything else. I can't figure out how to get pay rate * pay hours.
The manuals, online help and website is of little use for formulas. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I would love to know if there is a reference for formula creating for peachtree so that I can figure it out on my own in the future.
