Where did all my settings go??

hey all,

I'm having problem with my new version of peachtree 2005, We have upgraded to new PC's so I did a backup and transfered the data onto the new PC after installing the software.

The data all seems to be there, but things look and work differently on the old PC. I had things layed out just the way I wanted them on the old PC, but none of that seemed to have transfered over. And some of the fields I get on the old PC don't even show up or react differently on the new PC.

What file or files do I need to copy over to get my settings to tranfer to the new PC??

Also, I registered the software but it still keeps coming up with that box that asks you what you want to do "open existing company, create new company, etc."

Any help is appreciated, thanks

I can fix your last item. Do

Options->Show Start Screen at Startup

to toggle that behavior.

Some of the options are specified under Options>>Global and will NOT be transfered to the new set up as part of the backup.

I would start by checking those settings to see which ones you changed on the old PC.
