Acct Rec - Detail missing

Client is using v8.0 on Win 98. Attempt to reconcile one of many cash accounts and all detail is missing (only 1 ck appears and no deposits). However, looking at the Acct Register Report all the detail is indeed there.

Ran Integrity Ck to Reindex Chart, Journal Header & Row and then ran Data Sync Test of Chart of Accts.

Still no data to be reconciled. Are there possibly any more Integrity Cks I could run. My last backup was 1/3 and much info has been posted since then.

Any help would be much appreciate. Thanks!

If you get any help on this please let me know. I have the same situation. I posted A/R receipts and A/P disbursements and they appear in those reports but not on the checkbook register or the reconciliation screen. There doesn't appear to be any transactions after 1/3/02. If I change the dates on the transactions from 1/9/02 to 1/3/02 then they appear. I was on vacation so what could've happened?

I have been having the same problem. I think it is because transactions are not posted. You need to change to batch posting and then go to each period and post all journals.
However, my problem is that one day everything is fine and then the next data goes missing from customer ledgers, etc. I would like to know why this keeps happening and what I can do to stop it from happening again. I hope this helps your situation though.

Since I posted this message and also sent emails to other locations I received back information that this seems to be a common problem. The two times it happened to me was when I was doing bank reconciliations and going from one period to another. I went through the integrity checks and repair the company as well. I also unposted everything and reposted. I even tried to enter a dummy receipt for today and it never showed on the register or the reconciliation screen. But when I changed it to 1/3/02 it was there. I guess the program just decided it didn't want to do any more work after 1/3/02 - lol I restored my backup-re-entered the data for the last few days and have learned a lesson in backing up every day no matter what!!! It's too bad tho because I'm losing confidence in the program and that's not a good thing.
