View Full Version : Where to put labor burden?

Where do I enter our labor burden so that it is calculated in the job cost reports? In the old version, it's in maintain job cost codes.... but I can't find where I would enter this anywhere. I do see billing rate, but that's not what I want. Anyone know?

Did you have PT2000? There is no such feature in this version of Peachtree. You can add it manually by using a general journal entry.

Yes, the DOS version did automatically calculate labor burden. PT for Windows does not do that. You need to figure it manually, then enter it through a general journal entry. Create a bogus account id to post it to. I usually create an account 99999.

Debit account 99999 for the burden amount, and enter the job ID
Credit account 99999 for the same amount but don't enter a job ID. Save the transaction.
