Error: Illegal operation / shut down

Help please, upgraded to 9.0 in Sept. 2001, while trying to print certain reports ( ie. acct. reconciliation, general ledger, etc) I get the message illegal operation program will be shut down. Detail button says: PEACHW caused an exception 10H in module PEACH.EXE at 015f:0425a8f0.

Then it kicks me out of peachtree. I can log back in and do work and I'm able to print some reports with no problems.

I'm trying to close out the year and not able to print reports that I need, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you updated to 9.0.02?

If you're using MS Internet Explorer 5.5sp2 or 6.0, you also need this update (see at the bottom of the web page).

I had a similar problem with 8.0.00 crashing after I updated to MSIE 5.5sp1, and had to install the 13 MB update (and then another update available online), but only after calling PT tech support and paying $40 for them to tell me where on their web site to find the updates.

But the important thing is that I'm not bitter. :)

I am having similar problems with the new 2002 version with all of my clients. During the update operation to 9.02 it keeps giving me a similar error message and shuts down. What happens when I reboot has depended upon the client. Some of the updates do not register.

Also in running the program I find that 9.0 and 9.02 are not as stable as previous versions. I keep getting illegal operation messages. I guess we might have to wait for the 9.03 update for better stability.
