To clarify the Sched B prints, but just numbers on a page . Its as if I need an overlay, or something.

The intent is that you insert your 941 form into your printer, and then Peachtree prints directly onto the form.

David is correct about the form. You need to put the blank 941 form into your printer and let PT print the numbers for you. Here's the link to the 941 form in pdf format:

THanks, all for the advice. I did make a copy of the new '05
sched b & printed over it. None of the Peachtree generated numbers line up at all with the IRS form. What am I missing now ??

PT just sent out an updated 941 in the payroll update.

The IRS form is slightly different from the one the IRS provides. The EIN format, which is supposed to be in separate block-boxes, is the biggest failing and officially the only form Peachtree supports is the one they sell and is approved by the IRS.

An alternative would be to practice w/ the Form Designer and save the 2005 941 form as a different one once you line it up correctly.

Or you could use PT to print the numbers for you and manually add them to the 941 form provided by the IRS.

Did anyone get the schedule B to print correct? None of my numbers line up at all. I have gotten the new form off the IRS website and I have done the last update, but nothing lines up even close. Just wondering if anyone found a fix.

You could select the 941B 2005 and go into Design view.
Click on the Options button on the toolbar and then uncheck sample data.
Now print this form out and use as an overlay to determine what day your tax liability falls on.

My 941B was spaced way too much. I fixed it myself and it prints fine now. I would be happy to email it to you if you would like. Where the EIN goes, I manually entered the numbers on the form (with form designer) so you would have to change my numbers to yours. I can even put yours in there before I email it if you are interested. Let me know.

Thanks for your help. I used utilso24's idea and just wrote them in myself.
