I am trying to reduce the amount of paper we generate here, but Peachtree is not cooperating.

When I try to print an invoice to Adobe's Acrobat Distiller (the utility that creates PDF format files), I get a stream of "File not found" errors from peachtree. Peachtree is looking for several .DAT files on my Desktop for some reason. Why is Peachtree looking on my desktop for files?

After I close Peachtree, I see that I have a pile of .PTL files on my desktop, each corresponding with the missing .DAT files.

The PDF file *does* get created, but the annoyance of having to click through about 10 error messages and clean up my desktop later is too much!

Any suggestions?

[I have no problems with the PDF Distiller software from any other applications.)

I'm having the exact same problem. I can also print from all other apps. I've look on both the abobe support site and the peachtree support site an can find nothing. Any help on this matter would be greatly apprecated.

Ps. Windows XP, Acrobat 5.0 and Peach "WHAT EVER" 2002

I have found that you must create the PDF in the company directory (c:\peachw\company)

This works very well but the PDF writer must be the defaut printer and to actually print to a printer, you must change the printer default or print from reports.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunate that we have to create the files in the company directory, etc. But at least is works now.

Thanks again.
