Our school's accountant has had MANY problems with the Lock Table being "full". I followed Peachtree's Instructions for solving the issue, which including making some changes on our server. We are running a multi-user (max of 2 users) on a client-server system.
Her first computer kicked her out of Peachtree atleast 5 times a day, but a simple reboot would let her back in. However, when it started occuring after 2 entries, she would give up. I switched her computer with one that she has used in the past with NO problems, and then today, it kicked her out several times. All with the Lock Table Full error. Is this user related? Is there ANYTHING that we can do to stop this?

Thanks for any help y'all can give!

It can be user related if there's a limit set to the number of locks available for each user.

What's the server OS you're using? Is it Windows NT or Novell, or...?

We are using Win. NT on our server. I changed the startup files that limit file locks (according to peachtree's directions) and it didn't help.
What makes me suspicious of Peachtree is that her new computer worked fine in a different office when she used it, now that it is in her office, it gives the Lock Table error.....

Thanks

Jason

This is a suggested setting from Peachtree, check if you're using similar settings.

CONFIG.NT
--------------
dos=high, umb
device=%SystemRoot%\system32\himem.sys
files=150

Another thing you may try is updating the network card driver to the newest one, and apply the registry update for Peachtree 7. These're also suggested solutions by Peachtree.

Thanks again!

I changed the Config.NT file a couple months ago, but I will try that registry fix....

Thanks!
