creating custom income reports

Our Peachtree data is kept on the server. Our accountant wants to take a laptop home with Peachtree Complete Accounting 2005 on it. Her hopes are to create a custom income report and somehow get it on our server when she comes back into work. I plan to copy our data directory to the laptop, where she should have no problems creating the document. My problem is when she gets back. I need to know what file or files are created when this document is made. My hopes are we can just copy this file to the data directory on the server and make it availible to all the machines at work. Is my assumption correct, and can anyone tell me what the file name of this type of document is called? Thanks.

It may be easier for her to create a backup file when she is done and copy that file to your machine or the server.

Open the company your machine and restore the data back to the server but select Customized Forms on the Restore Options screen.

Laura is on the right track with using a back-up offsite, and then restoring a copy back to the server, but simply choosing Customized Forms won't transfer the income statement where you want it.

Restore the back-up copy to a new company name on the server, and then open the live copy of the company. Choose Reports, Financial Statements, and then click the Copy button. This screen enables you to choose the back-up company and report(s) that you want to transfer.

Choosing Customized Forms instructs Peachtree to restore the .FRM files, which are invoices, statements, etc. Reports are stored elsewhere.

Are you sure? I just checked one of my company files and I have the customized Financial reports, Aged Payables and Aged Receivable reports that I created at the Property managers PC. I just did a restore of the company file on to my PC and reports are there.

Or is it because I also restored the data too that the reports got added to my machine?

The reports appeared as part of the data. Reports are stored in the reports.dat file, while customized forms have a .FRM extension.
