when I started importing the sales.csv file it took almost 30 hours

I was rebuilding my company to change the accounting periods and I noticed that when I started importing the sales.csv file it took almost 30 hours and I finally gave up and went back to the old company. How long should it take? 30 Hours is a long time and it wasn’t locked up or crashed. Maybe I should have waited a little while longer????
