too many lines

In our financial Statements we have a "Schedule of Operating Expenses" that compares our operating expenses to budget. However when our GL numbering system was set up it was set up with the department code at the beginning and the account at the back of the number Thus XXYYY is location XX and account YYY. This makes the "standard" rollup feature difficult or useless perhaps.

In order to get this report we have been adding every GL line to the report hiding them and showing "Total - Level 1" for account YYY. The problem is that I have reached the maximum number of lines in the report 200? when I insert a new line the report won't run? removing the line allows it to run again?

Is there a way to work around this headache?

You may be able to use the Department Mask which allows you to filter account numbers by leading and trailing digits.

try using the department masking, i think it will work well for the numbering scheme you describe
