Can't find credit

I don't see it but somehow there is a $2700. credit on a sales order. If I run a sales journal it shows the credit on an item. If I
go back to the sales order and take out that item the credit disapears. I can't figure it out.

This is accounting 101: Whatever you sell goes into the credit column. If a customer returns something it goes into the debit column.

On any transaction you're in (sales order, cash receipt, invoice, purchase, etc.) you can click on the "journal" button at the top the screen and see the accounting behind the scenes. You will see all the debits and credits for that particular entry.
