Deleting Inventory Stock Numbers

Anyone know how to delete discontinued item stock numbers from the inventory list? We have hundreds cluttering up the pages!

If these inventory items have transactions associated then you will have to mark the items as "Inactive". You can then set your OPTIONS / GLOBAL and then check mark Hide Inactives.

I don't know what to do. When I check off the hide inactives button to get rid of all the inactive clutter, then the find button won't work within invoices and sales orders. If I check off the hide inactives and then try and do a find, the screen freezes up and the whole program shuts down. I've contacted Peachtree, sent them a copy of my program, and even tried upgrading to 2006. Nothing works. Any ideas?

I am currently using Peachtree Complete Accounting 2004, Multi-user pack.
