I have recentlty converted our company from version 6 to version 9.0 and have verified that all the company data is as it should be after this process was completed. We have never used the Payroll portion of Peachtree and would like to do so.

I am using Peachtree Complete Accounting 2002 and have installed/registered the 2002 Tax service update.

After setting up all employees and payroll defaults, we tried to do a sample payroll entry just to make sure the calculations matched what we had been doing by hand. They don't.

When I look at File, Payroll Tax Tables, Company, the only tax table displayed is NYSUI5 NYSUI ER 02.

* The only calculation that appears to come out correct is the SDI
Refer to attached jpg screenshot(s)

* Also, all the Employer ER calculations are CORRECT, it is just the Employee EE calculations that are wrong.

They are no error messages displayed during Payroll Entry.

What am I doing wrong?

Issue has finally been resolved. After spending a good deal of time just to document what was working and what was not, Peachtree Support was able to provide a solution.

Apparently, the Tax table "mapping" had gotten corrupted. Even though the 2002 tax update was properly installed and registered, the program was pulling FIT 02 tax table information from a State table instead. This is a known error situation because they recognized my problem right away and told me what to do.

To fix problem, I went in to file, Payroll tax tables, edit Global.
I then selected the table that I was getting incorrect deductions for, the Federal (FIT 02). After selecting this table, I made no changes to it, I just clicked SAVE.

Now when I do payroll, all employee/employer deductions are correct.

Hope this information is helpful to someone else in the future.

Hi - I reviewed your setup and the screen that is shown on the left (the largest) calculated adjusted gross - I notice that both sides of employers boxes are checked. I don;t believe they should be checked on the right side in either employee paid or employer paid.
