Why does Peachtree make "SysCost" adjustments? Is something set up incorrectly in inventory perhaps?

Thanks for any help!

Hi,
Did you find answer to this question.
If yes please post it in the forum. My peachtree also does the same for inventory items INAJ transactions. Also when I try to find all these Inventory Adjustment transactions it shows no such transactions.

Any input here is helpful! Thanks!

Sorry, really didn't find a definitive answer to the question. I was asking the question for a client, so really can't duplicate what she is doing to generate all these transactions. The only thing I could guess is that it has something to do with making "changes" to her inventory items (whatever they may be). My suggestion to her was to turn on the audit trail and see if she can figure it out that way, but I haven't heard anything from her. Guess she decided to ignore it for now.

Peachtree's web site has information on this topic in their Knowledge Base. See their Answer ID # 371 dated 12/18/01.

Short answer is:

When you sell into the negatives Peachtree has to now guess at your cost. When you finally receive the item in through a purchase it will compare what it guessed at to what it should be and then post the difference as a syscost.

To prevent this do not sell items into the negatives.

To correct this find the purchase and you would have to predate it to the sale so that the system will never show it was in the negative.
