Windows errors in 2005 Mfg.

For no apparant reason, several weeks ago 2005 Manufacturing began crashing in Sales Order / Invoice / Receiving Inventory when we try to enter any inventory items with ID beginning with the letter "X". We have used these ID codes for several years with no problem. The only fix we have found is to go to Global and uncheck HIDE INACTIVE RECORDS!

Possibly related, although I don't know how: When doing statements at the end of August, we had to do them in small batches rather than A to Z like we usually do.

We also frequently encounter sharing violation messages.

Are these things related? Any suggestions for fixes?

Check for Peachtree update. Go into your company and click on SERVICES & CHECK FOR UPDATES. If found repeat on all computers using Peachtree as updates are typically installed to the local C: drive and related program files.
