Anyone have a solution to extremely slow printing when printing employee reports in the payroll module?
Once I've chosen an employee to print, it takes up to a full minute for Peachtree to generate a single employee report.
If I have to print dozens, if not hundreds of employee reports, it becomes an impossible timing situation.
Yes, I've done all of the integrity checking, etc.
Thanks

Printing speed can be affected by many factors. Can you explain in more details your machine? How you install Peachtree? Is the data reside on a server?
What about how functions of Peachtree? Also, slow? Other applications? Are they working properly, but just Peachtree so slow?

I contacted Peach support about slow printing Ap checks in 2002 Complete. After a few gyrations about index files and moving formats they said that thay had not included Hp Pcl Lang in 2002
complete and suggested that I load the older version of HP drivers to compensate for this. Not that it worked any better it least it was an option.

Hi,
Our problem is more extensive in that all the processes we run that require history files seem to be degraded. So printing cash receipts takes a long time and posting cash reciepts does too. I did notice that our sort job report file is the largest file on our list of files and it is over 44 meg.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks, Ray

Try to search for "performance" or related words in this forum on how to improve speed of Peachtree. However, any improvement will have a limit, especially if your transaction number is too much to be handled efficiently by Peachtree.
