Where can I find information on query in Peachtree Classic? I have not used this software in the past and I am trying to download transactions to excel to analyze.

Peachtree has upgraded from DOS-based Peachtree Data Query (PDQ) to Intelligent Query (IQ) Report Writer for Windows. This easy-to-use reporting tool allows you to create customized reports, tables, labels, and charts and graphs using your Peachtree data. IQ supports more file formats, offers context-sensitive help, label layout, print preview, and much more.

This program Peachtree IQ Query will permit you to export selected data files to Excel.

Does this new program allow to access DOS Peachtree 10 DB to query??

Peachtree Data Query (PDQ) came packaged with Peachtree Complete Accounting version 10 (DOS) but had to be loaded separately from the program disks.

The PDQ program had to be installed in the same folder as the Peachtree program and was compatible with Peachtree Version 10, 11 & 12. All three levels of the Peachtree program and separately the Peachtree Data Query program, used the same user or company database.

Peachtree Classic 13.0 and IQ Query programs, both required a database (upgrade) conversion in order to be used with the newer programs. As such Peachtree's IQ (Intelligent Query) Report Writer, as packaged with Peachtree Classis 13.0 is not compatible with older Peachtree DOS / Classic versions 10.0 - 12.0.
