Client is on Prem. Mfr 2005 and complains of slowness and lockups.

I just noticed that their company folder is in the root of the mapped network drive, rather than in a "company" folder. Any chance that this could affect performance?

For performance issues, start with checking for ad-ware, spy-ware, (mal-ware), viruses, disk fragmentation, free disk space on local hard drives. Check memory, and CONFIG.NT Files=??? (workstation = 199, and host / server =250). Next check the network hub/switch for packet collisions, as this may indicate a hardware issue.

Also to get a feel for the overhead associated with your network and server, make a temporary copy of your data on a workstation where you use Peachtree and open the local company to see how performance is there.
