A older customer of mine that does the books for several local business's is using Peachtree 7.0. I have her on a XP machine, and things have run great for almost a year.
Now it seems new problems are cropping up. There are database anomolies, when you choose not to print 0 balance accounts, it does so anyway. Some accounts will not update status and are still flagged with an outstanding balance even though they have the payment entered. All she does is use the reconciliation section, nothing more. I would suggest she update, but she can't even use a mouse, much less a windows eviroment. If peachtree had a new version that was like the DOS version interface, I would upgrade her immediatly.
Any suggestions on where to look for problems and the solutions? Every month it seems another problem rears its ugly head adding to the list.
One thing we dont do is back up using the peachtree program. We back up to a CD instead, and I did not know if this could cause these syptoms either.
