Hello,
I am very frustrated at this point so please bear with me.

I went to payroll last week, selected my employees for pay (we pay hourly & salary no time tickets). Once I made my changes in deductions and time, I went to Reports, so I could run a "pre-register" to check for mistakes. I got the print window, and chose OK. Then I received this error:
Peachw.. This program has performed an illegal operation and will shut down. If the problem persists contact the program vendor.
I then went to "details" and it said this:
Peachw caused an exception 10H in module Peachw.exe at 015f:04003cf4. and then listed a bunch of registers like;
EAX = 0066dbcc cs = 015f
EIP = 04003cf EFLGS = 00010202
And went on and on...

One thing, I did install a new HP laserjet 1000, last week and have not used it for payroll yet. I was using an Okidata microline tractor feed and everything was working ok, other than having to watch my checks because it ran up to far, so I had to take off line and manually roll back up for next check.

Please, please is there any help for this, I am unable to run payroll again this week!
(ps I did install the program in a different computer just to see, and I did receive the same error)

Thank You, Sandra @ B&B (dsrault@bentonrea.com)

Sandra I had the same problem when I temporarily switched from an HP 1100E to an HP4L.

Make sure the drivers are installed for the new printer, and make sure your default printer for your report is the new printer.

Select The report you want -> Options set default printer

Frank, Thanks for the info, I shall try it! I won't be back at the office until later this afternoon (PST). I was able to run a 941 and employee reports just to see how they looked with the new printer, and they were great! its just that I cannot do payroll, but I'll try your suggestion. THank you, Sandra

Don't know the answer to your current problem, but I'll bet your checks for the Microline weren't designed with the correct length. If you are going to continue to use it for payroll checks, ask for instructions to change the check length.
