Unhappy How to activate Sage Peachtree 2012?

I've been using Complete 2009 for a few years, decided to try Sage Peachtree Complete 2012 that I found on Amazon.

Got it installed and works fine, but I don't know how to get the activation number. I tried the online chat and phone, they told me 2012 was obsolete and they could not offer me any support. I guess that meant they would not help me to activate this product.

Is there any way I can get this software activated without a number from Peachtree Support?

All I have now is the Serial #.

I still have all the info from my complete 2009 but no activation number.

You should have received the Activation code from the Amazon seller otherwise there would not be any way to get that as Sage won't be able to generate it from that far back. I can sell a legit copy of the software where you would be able to sit on that version without upgrading each year if you are interested. Also, I would be able to convert the data from that far back as it would need to be converted to an older version first and then make the jump from there.

Go to the server or the main computer hosting the data.
Open Sage 50.
Select Help, and then select Sage 50 Activation, Licensing, and Subscription Options.
Select Change your current version and then click OK.
Enter your new Serial Number and click OK.
Sage will automatically close and reopen. If it does not, close Sage 50 manually and reopen it.
Select Help, and then select About Sage 50 Accounting.
Verify the new serial number is displayed.

I feel your pain, I have a newer version that did not transfer all my data from the 2011 version I was using. I have backup from that version and I would like to access purchase information from my vendors as well as items billed my customer. They do not support it so I am up a creek without a paddle. Looking for alternatives to the cloud accounting and dont think I will stay with Peachtree/Sage much longer, their "support" of over $600 a year is way beyong my budget

Contact me directly, there should be no reason we can't get your historical data to work. I have all the versions in between and the data should all convert unless you bought a lower version than your previous old version. I can also sell a perpetual license so you don't have to pay yearly and it would be a one time cost.
